50 Nets Kiln Dried Logs

I ordered the same 50 nets of kiln dried hardwood 'Ash and Oak Superior Mix' as I had a couple of years ago, however what was delivered in 2024 was very different from the previous wood. I told the delivery driver that the nets weighed significantly less than the previous ones but he assured me they were the right ones. I later weighed the bags - the new ones were 5.7kg and the old ones 9.6kg. Despite this the price was considerably higher. They burn through in no time and the logs are much smaller than before. At £7.20 a net (even with a discount) it makes a few hours' use of the wood burner more costly than heating the whole house for an entire day with gas. I've always been happy with the service received, the dryness and the ease of ordering, but either they made a mistake with the order or they are simply no longer good enough value for me and I shall look elsewhere next time.

Burns great. Super dry wood. Delivery prompt and helpful putting away.
Our only reservation is that it’s billed as mixed hardwood, but contains a fair bit of rogue softwood (pine etc). This means we’re getting through it a lot faster than normal.
Also 50 bags in 2023 is more expensive than 70 bags in 2022!!
