Delivery was on time and left where we requested although I will say wood this time is not burning very well which is not normally the case with previous deliveries. Don’t know if logs had got wet as we store them inside after they have been delivered
I have been using Bristol Firewood for several years now and the company has always supplied high quality logs. Recently I was unable to buy the usual oak logs and so opted for the silver birch and alder mix. The fragrance of the silver birch is amazing and both burn well. When I run out I'll be back for more!!!
What can I say? They kindled a burning desire within me but it all turned to ashes. Like all love, it went up in flames…
As advertised. Delivery was friendly and on time and the logs are great.
Having ordered 25 nets of logs that were delivered I assisted the driver in unloading the nets to find the nets only 3/4 full with what I will describe as sticks rather than logs.
As a result I rejected the delivery and purchased logs elsewhere.
We found these latest logs require a lot more air to burn than those we have had previously. Consequently they burn through more quickly, and will not last as long as we hoped.

This load of ash, which I split with a neighbor, is difficult to keep alight and gives very poor heat output. I have to have the bottom vent of my woodstove wide open and the door cracked just to get the wood to give off a 4" flame, and then there is little heated radiated. I've had ash from Bristol Firewood before and for me it was the perfect firewood, but this load is of very poor quality and I'm extremely disappointed. My neighbor reports similar results and he is very upset. I cut some logs in two today and measured just under 20% moisture content in the middle, and 12%-15% on the outside, so within the specs shown on the web site. I'm sure I won't be alone in reporting this issue, and would welcome someone from Bristol Firewood contacting me to see how we can best resolve the issue. Thank you - Rob Warren

Logs hard to light and do not burn very hot. Moisture content 17-18% so not great
